St. Joseph’s Bomb Squad is going to be unable to deliver its Fan Showdown video until Thursday, which means we hope to have the winner decided by Friday.
In the meantime, Westhill’s Purple Pack and Ridgefield’s Tigers Lair have far and away been the most vocal groups in the forum of social media.
So in the interim, before our judges make their pick, we will give you a chance to have your say: based on the videos delivered, which fan group do you think is better: The Purple Pack or the Tigers Lair? As you can see, the videos are quite different:

We asked that each video provide a good reflection of the size of the crowd and the cleverness of cheers.
So as we await the Bomb Squad, which of the other two finalists would you select? You have until noon on Thursday to have your say.

St. Joseph shot it the same week as the others and just turned it in late.
It just isn’t right that St. Joes should be allowed to break the rules and submit a video a week and half after the other teams. If Westhill had taken that extra time, they might have filmed a fan-packed game.Even so, their cheering section (and the quality of the video they produced in short order) was far superior to both Ridgegfield’s and St. Joes’!

Westhill played Ridgefield in basketball and not one kitty lair member showed up. A little disappointing coming from “the best fan squad in the FCIAC”.
LOUD NOISES, I DONT KNOW WHAT WE ARE YELLING ABOUT.
But on a serious note this is no contest; Tucker’s video for the purple pack was outstanding and a piece of art compared to the low quality iMovie Ridgefield put together. Honestly it looked like someone shot that video with a Motorola Razr. Purple Pack > Kitty Lair
The only home game westhill had during the week we could record was the girls game.
stop complaining that your video was shot at a girls game…if you wanted a bigger crowd for the video film at a boys game. its your own fault. us here in the lair would love to play a game against westhill and see whos fans are really better. too bad you guys lost in the first round
viking pride- correct me if i am wrong, but a big part of being a successful student section is by getting into the head of the opposition. Sorry we are trying our best to help our team win, whether we have to say mean things or not. ITS PART OF THE JOB. Its our job as a student section to give our team the biggest advantage we can give them, and clearly the Lair does a darn good job at doing that. Who cares if we are using bad sportmanship? Whoopdie-freaking-doo. Its not even that bad, the worst thing we do is boo a player the whole game. Its a mind game my friend. A mind game.
Maybe you should bring more than 25 people to your games
Ridgefield may have more fans than Westhill but that doesn’t mean anything. The Purple Pack clearly has a better fan base because of the positive messages spoken. All the Liar did was put down the other teams and say hurtful things, while the Purple Pack gave support to their teams. Sportsmanship is a large part of this FCIAC and Westhill clearly is the better school.
Tucker Jepsen should have gotten the Oscar for Best Director and Nicky D for Best Male Lead Role. Nuff Said.
YO REAL TALK!! THE PURPLE PACK HAD TO RECORD THEIR VIDEO DURING THE GIRLS BASKETBALL GAME. YOU GUYS GOT TO RECORD IT AT YOUR BOYS BASKETBALL GAME. IF WE WERE AT OUR BOYS BASKETBALL GAME, WE WOULD HAVE TWICE, ACTUALLY, THREE TIMES AS MUCH FANS AS WE HAD. WE HAVE HAD THAT TURNOUT MANY TIMES THIS YEAR, AND I GUARANTEE NONE OF THE LAIR GO TO THEIR GIRLS GAME. end of story ya heard?
While the lair had to wait 5 minutes to score 10 points and cheer, the purple pack was gettin loud and winning. Whose bright idea was that over in Ridgefield, you guys are supposed to be smart…

we have a tiger mascot so that argument is invalid. you actually think you had more fans at your game or were remotely as loud? thats hilarious but at the same time sad…maybe you should watch our video again…..
what are you talking about….if anything at all the lack of quality didnt show how loud we really were. you were louder…dont make me laugh your student section size was about as big as our first two rows

You obviously are not familiar with the Purple Pack. Our cheers are identical to the ones you have and while your fan lair was spread out horizontally to make it seem bigger, it was actually smaller than the purple pack who laid its fans out vertically for an optical illusion. You guys also don’t have the Masked Viking, or any good mascot for that matter, so PPOD.
your cheers were reversed forms of ours. we did i believe that we will win and you did i believe that you will lose….we also do winning team losing team. we were louder than you, there was just a crappy camera that kept kackling to make the noise seem louder than it actually was.
well you said yourself you asked for the videos to show fan size and creative cheers. i can admit as a lair member that westhills video was nice and was cool video production. but they had hardly any people and their cheers werent even very good. our video clearly shows that we get a huge turnout to every home game, were loud, and we have all types of cheers.
