7 on 7: Vote for the BlueStreak-Overtime FCIAC Team of the Week

On this week’s Overtime Team of the Week menu, we are serving seven teams from seven different sports coming off of seven great days.

Your finalists: the Westhill softball, Fairfield Warde girls golf, Fairfield Ludlowe girls tennis, Ridgefield boys golf, Brien McMahon baseball, Staples boys volleyball and Darien boys lacrosse teams.

The winner will get T-shirts with our logo courtesy of BlueStreak Sports Training, Garden Catering, the Stamford Advocate, Karl Chevrolet, Innovative Health and Rehabilitation, Chelsea Piers and New Balance of New Canaan.

The Vikings swept three straight games, including a win over defending FCIAC champion Darien.

The Mustangs won three straight matches to open the season at 3-0.

The Falcons defeated Ridgefield, Staples and Norwalk to improve to 5-0.

The Tigers went 7-0 by winning matches against the three schools from Bridgeport and Stamford and two from Norwalk.

The Senators defeated Danbury, Stamford and city rival Norwalk.

The Wreckers remained unbeaten with three wins, including showdowns with Darien and Ridgefield.

The Blue Wave went 3-0, with wins over FCIAC rival Wilton and California state champion Torrey Pines.

    The boys at BMHS are hot. They have become a perrenial powerhouse in baseball.

    You are right. I screwed up. That was part of why they were nominated. I don’t do this at all but in this case I’ll update it.

    the fact you have staples nominated for team of the week but fail to say they also beat ridgefield is horrible. ridgefield is a much better team than darien. maybe you should actually know what youre writing about before you nominate a team.

    how about staples volleyball. beating defending FCIAC champs Darien with ease, and then beating ridgefield, a state power house and rival. two of the top 5 teams in the state.

    Gotta go with McMahon baseball on this one. They’ve been playing great the first two weeks of the season.

    ridgefield boys golf won 2 of the 3 matches against bridgeport by disqualification. and norwalk and stamford are both in the bottom part of the fciac. gimmie a break dave…………

    Vote for Ridgefield Boys Golf!! Beat 7 teams in 3 days. Also defeated Brunswick School in a scrimmage same week.
