Dario Pugliano of the Fairfield Warde baseball team and Allison Macari of the Westhill softball team are this week’s BlueStreak-Overtime FCIAC Players of the Week.
Pugliano and Macari will each receive T-shirts and plaques from BlueStreak Sports Training.
The Mustangs went 2-0 behind an offensive outburst from Pugliano, who was 7 for 8, with three doubles, a triple, a home run, 9 RBIs and 5 runs scored.
Macari led the Vikings to a perfect week with her arm and bat. She threw a perfect game against Warde and went 3-0, with 31 strikeouts, just one walk and a 0.33 ERA in 21 innings. Macari also batted .444 with nine RBIs, including a three-run home against rival Stamford.
