Westhill High School point guard Tony Dobbinson and Antwaun Boyd, a guard who had to sit out last season after an appeal to the CIAC was denied, will be heading to Nebraska next season to play at McCook Community College.

Dobbinson averaged 15 points, 4 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 2.2 steals for the Vikings. He was voted All-FCIAC twice and to the All-State second team this past season.

Indians coach Brandon Lenhart said of Dobbinson: “Tony is another great addition to our current class of recruits and helps give us more depth at the point guard position. He is deceptively athletic, quick and can shoot the 3 a little. We are very excited to add Tony to this year’s recruiting class.”

Boyd averaged 16 points, 2 assists and 5.4 rebounds two seasons ago.

“We are really excited to get Antwaun committed to play for us next year,” Lenhart said. “He is a scoring guard that can come in and play multiple positions for us. Antwaun is extremely competitive and will bring a winning mentality from the moment he steps in the gym.”
