Lopez, Falcone BlueStreak-Overtime Players of the Week

Jouse Lopez of the Bassick boys soccer team and Bridget Falcone of the New Canaan field hockey team are the BlueStreak-Overtime FCIAC Players of the Week.

Lopez and Falcone will each receive T-shirts and plaques from BlueStreak Sports Training.

Lopez, a midfielder, played goalkeeper and stopped eight shots for a shutout in a 1-0 win over Brien McMahon. Then he returned to his normal position and had a goal and two assists in a 4-0 win over Warren Harding.

Falcone starred defensively and scored or assisted on every goal as the Rams had three big wins: 3-0 over Staples, 1-0 over Greenwich and 4-1 over Cheshire, ending the Rams’ 29-game winning streak.
