An Elite Eight: Vote for the Overtime Team of the Week


We have eight teams coming off of strong performances on the menu for the Overtime FCIAC Team of the Week vote.

Your finalists are: the Trinity Catholic football, Fairfield Ludlowe volleyball, Wilton field hockey, Staples boys soccer, Stamford boys soccer, Trumbull girls swimming, Danbury boys cross country and Ridgefield girls cross country teams.

The winner will get T-shirts with our new logo courtesy of BlueStreak Sports Training, Garden Catering, the Stamford Advocate, Karl Chevrolet, Innovative Health and Rehabilitation, New Balance of New Canaan, Riko’s Pizza, Mitchells/Richards, Bobby Valentine’s Sports Gallery Cafe, Voice of an Angel and Dr. Brown’s Baby Products.

The Crusaders improved to 5-0 and won their city championship with a 41-20 win over Stamford.

The Falcons ran their win streak to eight matches with three wins, including a five-set battle with Greenwich.

The Warriors remained undefeated with three wins, including a 2-1 showdown with New Canaan.

The Wreckers won four matches, including a key shutout of Greenwich, by a combined 14-1 margin.

The Black Knights won three matches, including a city battle with Westhill and a victory over New Canaan.

The Eagles, who have been without a home pool all season, upped their record to 4-2 with a win over Norwalk.

The Hatters concluded the regular season undefeated after edging Darien, 26-29, as part of a quad meet win.

The Tigers ended the regular season unbeaten with wins over Wilton, Greenwich and Fairfield Ludlowe.

    My vote is, of course for TCHS football.
    The smallest school in the FCIAC…5-0…City Champs…a good run.

    Show Trinity some love. We are 5-0. Have never had a record like that in over 30 years if ever. We just won the City Championship and we are the smallest school in the FCIAC, with less than 40 players on the rooster and a total enrollment of 425 students. We cannot compete numbers wise with votes against all the other schools on this list.
