Super Six: Vote for the Overtime Team of the Week

We have six teams coming off of strong performances on the menu for the Overtime FCIAC Team of the Week vote.

Your finalists are: the Greenwich field hockey, Darien girls swimming, Westhill girls soccer, Fairfield Ludlowe volleyball, Stamford boys soccer and Staples volleyball teams.

The winner will get T-shirts with our new logo courtesy of BlueStreak Sports Training, Garden Catering, the Stamford Advocate, Karl Chevrolet, Innovative Health and Rehabilitation, New Balance of New Canaan, Riko’s Pizza, Mitchells/Richards, Bobby Valentine’s Sports Gallery Cafe, Voice of an Angel and Dr. Brown’s Baby Products.

The Cardinals stunned undefeated Wilton to win a share of the FCIAC championship and beat Conard in the opening round of the state tournament.

The Blue Wave held off Greenwich to win its second FCIAC title in four years.

The Vikings, the 21st seeds, shut out No. 12 Fairfield Warde, 1-0, in the first round of the state tournament.

The Falcons swept pass Stamford to get a share of their first FCIAC championship and won their opening-round state playoff game.

The 12th-seeded Black Knights blanked Hartford Public, 3-0, and defeated FCIAC co-champion Ridgefield on penalty kicks to reach the quarterfinal round of the state tournament.

The 10th-seeded Wreckers swept No. 7 Trumbull to reach the quarterfinal round of the state tournament.
