First 9: Vote for the Overtime Team of the Week


We have nine teams coming off of strong performances on the menu for the Overtime FCIAC Team of the Week vote.

Your finalists are: the Fairfield Warde girls basketball, Trinity Catholic boys basketball, Wilton boys basketball, New Canaan boys basketball, Trumbull boys basketball, Westhill boys basketball, Greenwich boys swimming, Darien girls hockey and Stamford boys hockey teams.

The winner will get T-shirts with our new logo courtesy of BlueStreak Sports Training, Garden Catering, the Stamford Advocate, Karl Chevrolet, Innovative Health and Rehabilitation, New Balance of New Canaan, Riko’s Pizza, Mitchells/Richards, Bobby Valentine’s Sports Gallery Cafe, Voice of an Angel and Dr. Brown’s Baby Products.

The Mustangs improved to 6-3 with a 58-47 win over Norwalk.

The Crusaders are the last unbeaten team in the FCIAC after a 73-44 win over Staples.

The Warriors won their third straight game, upsetting unbeaten St. Joseph, 67-46.

The Rams, who were 1-5, stunned unbeaten Bassick, 51-41.

The Eagles rallied for their second win by defeating Darien, 48-47.

The Vikings improved to 5-1 with a last-second win over Harding, 58-57.

The Cardinals, in a battle of unbeaten teams, defeated Ridgefield, 132-54.

The Blue Wave upped their record to 5-0-1 with a 7-0 win against Fairfield.

The Black Knights got their first two wins, 2-1 over city rival Westhill and 5-3 over Staples.
