The Stamford girls hockey team, which won its second game of the season and third ever, defeating Trumbull, 6-5, is the Overtime FCIAC Team of the Week.
The Black Knights will get T-shirts courtesy of BlueStreak Sports Training, Garden Catering, the Stamford Advocate, Karl Chevrolet, Innovative Health and Rehabilitation, New Balance of New Canaan, Riko’s Pizza, Mitchells/Richards, Bobby Valentine’s Sports Gallery Cafe, Voice of an Angel and Dr. Brown’s Baby Products.
The Black Knights beat out the New Canaan girls hockey, Darien boys hockey, Fairfield Ludlowe boys basketball, Wilton boys basketball, Ridgefield girls basketball, Fairfield Warde wrestling and Danbury boys basketball teams.
We will pick a new set of finalists for this week’s award, with the vote starting Sunday.


Sure. It goes by Stamford in the standings. That’s why it was used that way.
This team is a co op and I’m kind of disappointed that my school is not represented. Could you please change this so everyone gets the recognition they deserve.
