Wynne, Howlett BlueStreak-Overtime Players of the Week

Henry Wynne of the Staples boys indoor track team and Claire Howlett of the Westhill girls indoor track team are the BlueStreak-Overtime FCIAC Players of the Week.

Wynne and Howlett will each receive T-shirts and plaques from BlueStreak Sports Training.

Wynne swept to a triple crown at last week’s FCIAC championships, winning the 1,000-, 1,600- and 3,200-meter races to help the Wreckers to the title. Wynne then won the Junior Mile at Saturday’s New Balance Grand Prix.

Howlett won the 3,200 in a school- and meet-record 10:48.08 at the FCIAC championships. She also finished in second place in the 1,600.

Nominations are open now until Tuesday at 10 a.m. for this week’s winners.
