A Fine 9: Vote for the Overtime Team of the Week

We have nine teams coming off of strong performances on the menu for the Overtime FCIAC Team of the Week vote.

Your finalists are: the Staples boys track, Danbury boys golf, New Canaan girls tennis, Trinity Catholic boys golf, Ridgefield baseball, Greenwich softball, Darien softball, Fairfield Ludlowe girls tennis and Fairfield Warde boys lacrosse teams.

The winner will get our T-shirts and a plaque, courtesy of BlueStreak Sports Training, Garden Catering, the Stamford Advocate, Karl Chevrolet, Innovative Health and Rehabilitation, Riko’s Pizza, Mitchells/Richards, Bobby Valentine’s Sports Gallery Cafe, Voice of an Angel and Dr. Brown’s Baby Products.

The Wreckers won a tri-meet, headlined by a victory over Danbury.

The Hatters went 3-0, including a victory over New Canaan.

The Rams went 3-0, including a 4-3 decision over Wilton.

The Crusaders went 3-2 and captured the Stamford city championship.

The Tigers scored 35 runs in three wins, including a 9-7 decision over rival Danbury.

The Cardinals went 3-0, including their first win over Westhill since 2004.

The Blue Wave outscored three opponents by a combined margin of 32-0.

The Falcons’ 3-0 week included a 5-2 decision over town rival Fairfield Warde.

The Mustangs went 3-0, outscoring opponents by a 37-9 margin.
