Jenkins joins Fairfield Stags

|

Wings Academy’s Justin Jenkins has verbally committed to the Fairfield Stags for next season, according to a team source.
Jenkins, a 6-foot-2 combo guard, had also considered Manhattan and St. Peter’s in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference along with Quinnipiac and Long Island Brookyn in the Northeast Conference.
The Stags now have five freshmen additions to next year’s squad, including four players that have already signed Letters of Intent: 6-8 froward Amadou Sidibe from Cardinal Hayes (N.Y.), 6-10 Croatian center Josip Mikulic, from North Broward Prep in Florida, Coleman Johnson, a 6-foot-7 forward from Paul VI Catholic in Virginia, and 6-6 forward Marcus Gilbert from Academy of the New Church in Penn.
Due to NCAA rules, coach Sydney Johnson is not permitted to comment on players that have not signed Letters of Intent. The Stags still have one scholarship available, and possibly could have a second open pending the status of guard Keegan Hyland.
