Gorham returns to Sacred Heart for 1st time

by:

Football coach Paul Gorham made his first visit to the Sacred Heart campus since December on Tuesday and had plenty of visitors in the football office.

Gorham, who is recovering from a double lung transplant and the amputation of both feet from just below his knees, got a ride to school from interim head coach Mark Nofri. He spent the morning greeting his players and co-workers and even hoped to sneak in a little film study before returning home to Cheshire.

“I feel very good,” Gorham said. “I feel like I am getting stronger every day.”

Gorham is not expected to return full-time to the sidelines this season, but in an hour-plus interview with the Post he was upbeat about coming back at some point.

A full story on Gorham will appear in Sunday’s Post.
