I don’t see how TicketNetwork could have been a candidate for this program in the first place. Why on earth was state taxpayer money going to be used to subsidize what is essentially a ticket-scalping business? I’m against all of these handouts to businesses, especially raising taxes across the board in this state and then giving “forgivable loans” to huge corporations like UBS, Jackson Labs, and NBC Sports. But if they are going to give money to anyone, at least make it to companies that serve the public interest in health care or education, not ticket resellers.
