Democrats! It’s OK to back Guv’s ed reforms. Prez Obama says so!

by:

Celebrity education reformer Michelle Rhee will be in Hartford Wednesday for a rally supporting Gov. Dannel Malloy’s divisive ed reforms.

But first, during Tuesday evening’s news, her organization – StudentsFirst – will air this ad encouraging/pressuring (you decide) the legislature’s Democratic majority to back Malloy. It’s part of a six-figure buy that will last a few weeks.

The ad leads off with President Barack Obama to try and give local Democrats some cover, since Malloy’s Democratic credentials may not be enough to convince legislators like House Speaker/congressional candidate Chris Donovan, D-Meriden to buck their allies in the teachers unions.

Just about the time the ad makes its debut Malloy will be in New Haven for the latest in the public forums the administration has scheduled on his education proposals. The event is at 7 p.m. at Wilbur Cross High School.

OK, are you doing better now then you were 3 and one half years ago. Do you have a job? If you are trying to sell your house, do you feel there is a better market for it? If you are a small business man, do you have confidence enough to hire more people, invest in new machinery or stock?
Do you understand your coverage under Obamacare? How about gas prices and heating oil, better now? Do you have more disposable income? If you can say yes to the above, go ahead listen to President Obama. If not, why would you listen to someone that has not delivered on ONE of his promises?
