Foley Claims Lead in Rasmussen Gubernatorial Poll

Here’s Republican Tom Foley’s statement about a new Rasmussen Poll:

“Stamford, Conn., — Candidate for Governor Tom Foley is now leading the polls in the gubernatorial race, according to a new Rasmussen Report. The survey shows Tom leading Ned Lamont 44% to 37%, and Dan Malloy 44% to 35%. Tom is the only Republican gubernatorial candidate who is leading the Democratic candidates.

This poll shows that as voters are getting to know more about Tom, his background and his Plan Forward for Connecticut, they are responding positively.  Since Rasmussen’s last survey on February 4, Tom has seen a significant gain in support from likely voters.

Tom Foley released the following statement in response to the poll results:

We are very pleased with the results of this poll showing my campaign pulling ahead of both leading Democratic candidates. This poll confirms that the voters want an outsider and a problem-solver to fix the economic and fiscal crises facing us in Hartford.”

The statewide telephone survey of 500 likely voters in Connecticut was conducted by Rasmussen Reports on April 1, 2010. The margin of sampling error for the survey is +/- 4.5 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. The full results of the poll are available here.”

Claims lead? That’s funny, I see Foley at 44% and Lamont at 37% Do you call that “claiming a lead”. Wow. I say that is a trounce. We are NOT putting left liberals in power in Nov. They will be voted out, most of them, including Chris Murphy! and No Blumen Way will Blumy get in. Peter Schiff will be voted in because he can actually fix the problems facing us. Foley, and I also like Mayor Boughton, but no way will Lamont or any liberal get in. Not going to happen. Not in this climate.
