Some Bridgeport GOP Leadership Joins McMahon’s Camp. Delegation Seems Split.

by:

Bridgeport Republican Town Committee Chairman Marc Delmonico and State Central Committee Member Linda Grace have given their support to Linda McMahon’s candidacy for U.S. Senate.

“Linda’s common sense approach to the issues is what we need in Washington,” said Delmonico in a statement Thursday afternoon. “Connecticut does not need an anti-business Attorney General who thinks the Senate seat is his birth right.”

“Linda brings a refreshing pro-business approach to government,” said Grace. “I believe she is the best candidate to promote a pro-business, pro-jobs agenda, which is so needed by Connecticut and the United States.”

Rob Simmons, the former Second District congressman who is running against McMahon for the U.S. Senate nomination, claims the support of State Central Committee member Joe Borges, former congressional candidate Rob Russo and other delegates.

I can’t support Simmons or McMahon. Both are “open to” cap and trade (Linda claims she doesn’t support it in its “current form” but would be open to it if changes were made, and Rob Simmons has already voted in favor of it), both believe in the principle of bailouts (Linda and Rob both thought the banker bailout was “necessary”, even if they claim to not agree with the way it was executed), and both oppose overturning Roe v Wade and sending the abortion issue back to the states to be decided, as the tenth amendment to the US Constitution mandates. No thank you.

Peter Schiff is 100% opposed to cap and trade, bailouts, and Roe V Wade. He’s a real conservative.

Yuck and Yuck. McMahn has zero platform…vote for me I’m not Dodd, Simmons or Blumenthal. Simmons is a RINO (republican in name only)…voted for cap n trade and card check. NO THANK YOU!!

SCHIFF is the real conservative candidate with a tangible platform. He is the right candidate right NOW and in November!
