When anonymous campaign literature isn’t

The Fairfield delegation just got passed an unmarked piece of literature attacking Lt. Gov.candidate Lenny Winkler. It starts off announcing that Foley is championing her for LG then goes on to rip Winkler. All clever enough and secretive except for the big Fedele tag the volunteer who was passing out the material was wearing. Makes sense as Fedele has his running mate in Mark Boughton, but it drew some surprise he would lower himself to the sort of anonymous bashing that desperate candidates undertake. I guess the GOP convention would not be legit without some good ol’ fashioned Republican intrigue.

    So because he/she was wearing a Fedele sticker that means that Michael Fedele was behind the distribution of the article…interesting concept. I guess campaigns should be more careful about who they hand lapel stickers to. Maybe a background check is necessary….come on.

    When Mike Fedele ran for senate against Andrew McDonald, didn’t somebody run a push-poll asking respondents if they would support a candidate who was openly gay?
