McMahon gives Obama a wide berth — 100 miles and 6 counties

Linda McMahon will be clear across the state tonight when President Obama visits her backyard with Richard Blumenthal.

As if you expected Republican Linda McMahon to leave the lights on in her Conyers Farm estate tonight for President Obama, who is visiting the heavily-fortified enclave for a $30,000-per-plate fundraiser for her Democratic opponent Richard Blumenthal.

Couldn’t help but notice McMahon’s campaign itinerary is taking her to Willimantic for a Spanish-American Merchant’s Association meet-and-greet and Third Thursday Street Fest.

For those of you not up on your Nutmeg State geography, Willimantic is practically on the other side of Connecticut in Windam County. To get there, you have to go through Fairfield County, New Haven County, Middlesex County, Hartford County and Tolland County — just over 100 miles from Linda’s front doorstep.
