Supporters watch the results come in for the 5th Congressional District at Republican Sam Caligiuri’s election camp at the Courtyard Marriot in Waterbury.
At 9:15 p.m., incumbent Democrat Chris Murphy led the race by 798 votes after he took Danbury and Simsbury and much of the Northwest Corner.
The soundtrack at the venue included tracks by Ke$ha and Justin Bieber.
