Caruso says state needs to respond to cities’ needs quicker

I found state Rep. Christopher Caruso outside the Chamber on the second floor. He did not get sworn in today as he has been tapped by Malloy to be his advisor for urban strategies.
The state has been slow to respond to cities’ needs, Caruso said. He cited the brownfields cleanup in Bridgeport as an example. And the slow response is costing those cities in terms of job creation and lower taxes, he added.
But, Caruso added, with Malloy he sees a bright future.
