Linda McMahon: All options on the table, including 2012 Senate

Linda McMahon, whose named has been bandied about as a suitor for Joe Lieberman’s seat, released a statement through a PR firm today on the senator’s impending retirement and her own political future.

“Senator Lieberman deserves our respect and appreciation for bring a strong, independent and principled voice to Washington,” McMahon said. “While running for the U.S. Senate remains an option for me, I will spend the next few months focusing on how I can best serve the people of Connecticut.”

McMahon, who lost to Democrat Richard Blumenthal last year for the Senate seat vacated by Christopher Dodd after injecting $50 million of her wrestling fortune into the race, is not doing interviews at this time.
