As a former Oklahoma resident and liberal, I was constantly disappointed over who got elected U.S. Senate. So not crying over Connecticut being a bit more Democratic leaning.
So reading the comments whining about Democrats and liberals, do these people live in Connecticut? It’s a liberal leaning state.
A progressive in the Senate as Murphy is is not what CT needs. What have the Dems done for CT? Higher taxes, the worst business friendly rating for states, getting only 69% back for every dollar we send to DC, tolls when 60% of the gas tax goes to the general fund and not for transportation, huge unfunded pension benefits for state employees. The state is a mess because of Democrats.
Looking at the candidates and you (Republicans) have to ask how can you not back Simmons. He has the experience, the character and has shown he can win in CT. McMahon spent $50 million and lost by 12 points as women and independents ran from her. If Republicans embrace this far right tea party ideology and dismiss moderate Connecticut Yankees than we should not bother putting them on the agenda. Simmons has a lifetime of public service and dedication to our country and would serve us well in Washington.
The only person that I can see right now winning the election is Mr. Fedele. Name recognition, State wide appeal, strong ethics, business man and much more. My money is on Lt. Gov. Fedele.
I will be stating a petition to draft Lt. Gov. Fedele. Please join me in drafting FEDELE FOR SENATE.
