Since First Selectman Tim Herbst made the announcement last week that a high-profile Democrat is going to announce that he is switching sides at the Republican Town Committee meeting tonight, people in town have been speculating and making guesses as to who it could be.
More than one person has told me their guess off the record.
Some have even joked about it. State Sen. Anthony Musto, who led the Democratic Town Committee nominating convention last night, said it was his last night as a Democrat because the next day he was defecting to the other side.
