Bipartisan SPAM

We get thousands of e-mails from political candidates and their surrogates here at Hearst Connecticut Newspapers.

Some of them never make it to our computer screens or iPhones, however.

They wind up in Internet purgatory — the dreaded junk mail folder– condemned to a bleak existence among male enhancement ads (translation, electile dysfunction)  and phishing schemes.

Memo to the candidates: don’t turn into SPAM.

E-mails from Democratic Congressman Jim Himes’ re-election campaign and Stamford Republican Chris Meek, a prospective challenger to Himes in the 4th District, both found themselves there this week.

Just goes to show that our SPAM blocker is equal opportunity when it comes to Democrats and Republicans.
