A weekend off? Ha! Malloy out of town, again, this time for the NGA.

by:

Governor Dannel P. Malloy is out of state this weekend for the 2012 National Governors Association (NGA) Winter Meeting in the District of Columbia.

On Saturday, he’ll attend the opening session, “Growing State Economies,” at 11 o’clock in the Marriott on Pennsylvania Avenue. Policy wonks in the crowd and if you’re reading this you are guilty, guilty, guilty, can watch it live on C-SPAN.

Thanks Ken. You have to give this guy credit. He works harder than anyone. Raising Connecticut’s profile, both nationally and internationally, will have a positive effect on the state, helping us attract new companies, as well as more federal support. Further, sharing best practices is precisely the way ConnectIcut can improve ourselves. Working in a vacuum, as Rell chose to do, is not beneficial and it is not leadership. People who attack our Governor for the out of town work he does are either ideologically motivated, or just don’t get it. Probably the same folks who would rather us go back to Gov. Rell and 3.6B deficits. Politically motivated attacks of a Governor (of any party) who is doing an excellent job – as Malloy is – is a disservice to all of us. That’s my two cents.
