Shays gets seal of approval of Dick Morris, who dubs McMahon “radioactive”

GOP Senate contender Christopher Shays has enlisted the help of Dick Morris, a veteran GOP political strategist and one-time Clinton adviser who lives in Redding.

Morris filmed a testimonial for Shays that the former congressman posted on his campaign website today.

In it, the Fox News analyst urges Republicans to pick Shays over GOP rival Linda McMahon, who was the party’s nominee for Senate in 2010 when she lost to Democrat Richard Blumenthal.

Morris says that Shays is the pragmatic choice in the race to succeed retiring incumbent Joe Lieberman and calls McMahon “radioactive.”
