Poli-sci-fi: the Stanley Kubrick of CT-Sen 2012

Marty Scorcese isn’t exactly quaking in his boots.

But Connecticut’s acrimonious GOP nominating race for U.S. Senate has its unofficial cinematographer.

His name is Joe Visconti, a West Hartford Republican who twice ran for Congress and is supporting Chris Shays over Linda McMahon — in case you couldn’t tell.

Visconti is branching out into the poli-sci-fi genre with his latest YouTube flick, donning a radiation suit in a dark room with a flashlight and a leftover campaign sign from McMahon’s last run for Senate in 2010.

Think “Blair Witch Project” meets “Dr. Strangelove.”

The radiation suit is an apparent reference to comments by political consultant Dick Morris calling McMahon “radioactive.”
