Movie mogul Harvey Weinstein will open up his Westport home for a $35,800 per head fundraiser for President Obama’s re-election next month, reciprocation for the coveted State Dinner invite he received earlier this year from the White House, Hearst Connecticut Newspapers has learned.

Obama will then be whisked off to a fundraiser in Stamford, where tickets are expected to go for $500 a pop.

The Democratic State Central Committee confirmed that both events are on the calendar in an internal email Thursday to party officials.

The Stamford Marriott Hotel & Spa will likely be the venue for the second fundraiser, though the details are still being hashed out.

A portion of the proceeds from the Weinstein affair are expected to also go to the Democratic National Committee since individual political contributions to federal candidates are capped at $2,500 for the primary and $2,500 for the general election.

Weinstein is co-founder of Miramax Films and co-chairman of The Weinstein Company.

The Oscar-winning producer of “Shakespeare in Love” is part of a left-leaning Hollywood glitterati loyal to Obama.

In Aug. 2011, he passed the hat for the president during a fundraising dinner at his row house in New York City’s West Village.

Weinstein predicted that Obama will be re-elected in November during a morning talk show appearance last month.

UPDATE Per Jonathan Harris, executive director of the Connecticut Democrats, Gov. Dannel P. Malloy is a co-cosponsor of both fundraisers.
