Oh, the pitfalls of an August primary date.
Christopher Shays was out doing some last-minute campaigning this morning when one former constituent was oblivious that today is the Republican Senate primary.
“Good luck in November,” the man offered.
Wouldn’t Shays like to get an advance on those well wishes?
Unless the ex-congressman can close a 29-point deficit in the polls, November will just be the month after October.
But then again, maybe this person knows something the pollsters and pundits don’t know.
