Christopher Shays claims Linda McMahon’s campaign is already calling on his key supporters to endorse her for the general election immediately after she wins the primary.
“If they lose the election, they will have lost because they were acting like they won the World Series when they hadn’t even won the pennant,” Shays said.
UPDATE: McMahon spokesman Tim Murtaugh says there is nothing out of bounds with trying to recruit Shays’ supporters.
“That’s what you do in political campaigns is you try to get people to support your team,” Murtaugh said.
