GOP Sen. Andrew Roraback starts TV ads in 5th Congressional District campaign

Sen. Andrew Roraback’s campaign for the 5th  District seat tonight released its first television ad. The 30-second spot focuses on Roraback’s message of breaking the Washington gridlock, without naming his opponent, Democrat Elizabeth Esty, a former state House member from Cheshire.

“Hyper-partisanship in Washington has impeded our progress as a nation and it continues to threaten our economic future,” says Roraback, of Goshen, in the TV spot. “I have a long track record of bipartisanship and reaching across the aisle to build consensus toward solutions that will address the issues most important to the people of the 5th Congressional District. Partisanship and political division are not helping to create jobs. With record high unemployment, high taxes and reckless government spending, people want and deserve real solutions, not the ‘politics as usual’ offered by my opponent. If elected to Congress, I pledge to work for solutions that will make a difference for Connecticut families.”
