New state Super PAC targets Linda McMahon

A new state Super PAC, Connecticut Future PAC, is co-sponsoring a new TV ad targeting Linda McMahon. It’s called a non-candidate issue buy, unaffiliated with US Rep. Chris Murphy, but it’s combing forces with U.S. Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid’s Majority PAC for this buy.

Here’s the release and link to the ad.

“WASHINGTON D.C. [9/21/12] – Majority PAC and Connecticut’s Future PAC today announced the launch of new advertising campaign in Connecticut. Majority PAC also went up with a new ad in Montana. With the ads, the groups continue their campaign to hold Republican candidates accountable for their extreme views.

The Connecticut ad, “Linda McMahon: Against the Middle Class,” is a joint buy between Majority PAC and Connecticut’s Future PAC. The ad highlights the extreme agenda that McMahon is hiding from voters, including her support for tax breaks for millionaires while threatening to eliminate the Department of Education.

“A million-dollar personality makeover can’t hide the fact that Linda McMahon’s agenda is straight out of the Republican Party playbook,” said Rebecca Lambe, strategist for Majority PAC. “Tax cuts for multi-millionaires like McMahon are wrong for middle class families.”

“Linda McMahon is dragging this entire US Senate Election into the gutter. It’s how she managed the WWE, it’s how she manages her campaigns.  Everything is a race to the bottom with her,” said Chris VanDeHoef, the head of Connecticut’s Future PAC.  “We think it’s time to start discussing her positions on policies like her $7M tax break for herself, her idea to eliminate the Department of Education which would result in cuts to student loans.  Simply put, her position on important issues hurts Connecticut and Connecticut’s middle class.”
