The issues, according to political bumper stickers

In the thick of election season, negative political ads are everywhere: the television; the radio; the bumper of the car in front of you.

Pity the poor bumper sticker writer. Space is finite. The message has to be more concise. The expectation is for something snappy, snide and, perhaps, shocking.

The result is a simplification of the issues, though perhaps an accurate picture emerges of the political climate in America.

We’ve compiled some of these roving political ads. Many share the same themes and concerns talked about at the conventions. A few others are more extreme. All are negative.
