Monroe is on target, election moderators, say to surpass its 2008 presidential turnout.
In that race, 84 percent of Monroe’s eligible voters (11,106) cast ballots.
“There are definitely more people — and more people early,” Peggy Villanueva, head moderator at Monroe’s Masuk High School, said. “I think we are on target to surpass out 2008 figures.”
Monroe’s Masuk High School had 1,368 voters by noon, and intermittent crowds from the moment it’s polling site opened.
