Mitt Romney, the 2012 Republican presidential nominee, will be meeting with President Barack Obama for the first time since losing the election on Nov. 6.

“On Thursday, Governor Romney will have a private lunch at the White House with President Obama in the Private Dining Room. It will be the first opportunity they have had to visit since the election. There will be no press coverage of the meeting,” reads the press release.
There was no information on the menu, but you can fill in your own joke … turkey … beef … ham … humble pie … leftovers.
In his concession speech, Romney stressed the importance of Democrats and Republicans working together in the upcoming years.
“The nation, as you know, is at a critical point. At a time like this, we can’t risk partisan bickering and political posturing. Our leaders have to reach across the aisle to do the people’s work. And we citizens also have to rise to the occasion,” he said.
He ended his speech by saying that while he wished to be the one leading the nation starting January, he will now be praying for President Obama.
“I so wish — I so wish that I had been able to fulfill your hopes to lead the country in a different direction, but the nation chose another leader. And so Ann and I join with you to earnestly pray for him and for this great nation.”
