I’m a Connecticut resident and like many that live close to Newtown I’m sorry for the loss of life. That said, it does not give ANY victims family member the right to punish me for another persons action. Ms. Lafferty is the daughter of a murder victim. I do not know anything about her other than that. Being the relative of a murder victim does not make her any more virtuous than the next person. Have you ever had a drink Ms. Lafferty and then got behind the wheel of a car? Ever? Don’t you care about the victims of drunk drivers that eclipse 10,000 deaths every year? What about the children? You’ve “been heard”. Your rhetoric is nothing new. If you want to make the world a better place then why not advocate banning all guns? Let’s hear you on that. Why did it take you so long to visit this issue? Don’t children in New Haven, Chicago, Detroit and Bridgeport murdered with handguns meet your criteria for “joining the cause?” I’m sorry for your loss but your loss doesn’t nullify the Constitution.
