Will he or won’t he run for governor?
House Minority Leader Lawrence Cafero of Norwalk confirms to Hearst Connecticut Newspapers that he will make an announcement Thursday or Friday on his political future.
While he is said to have been leaning toward entering the race, those familiar with Cafero’s thinking told Hearst that family considerations could keep the 11-term incumbent on the sidelines.
Cafero, 55, is married with three children.
A recent Quinnipiac University poll showed Cafero trailing first-term Democratic Gov. Dannel P. Malloy 44 to 37 among registered voters.
