Who’s the boss?

Just when Bobby V. thought Red Sox Nation was demanding.

Think again.

The Board of Trustees at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield recently tapped Linda McMahon to preside over its Student Affairs/Athletics Committee.

That would be the same Sacred Heart that made a splash in February by hiring Bobby Valentine, exiled after just one season as Red Sox manager, to be its new athletic director.

McMahon, 64, recently posted on her Facebook page that she was “looking forward to working” with the Stamford product, who also managed the Mets to the 2000 World Series.

A university trustee since 2004, McMahon has given at least $5 million to Sacred Heart, which christened its new student center last April as the Linda E. McMahon Commons.

McMahon, who ran twice for U.S. Senate and lost, has been keeping up her appearances throughout the state.

In a May interview with Hearst Connecticut Newspapers, she said she has no plans to run for political office again.
