MILFORD — Residents along the Point Beach shore have unwelcome guests — millions of smelly blue mussels that washed up as couple days ago.
Long-time residents told the Post that this is an annual occurrence, although this year it seems worse than usual
One resident, who didn’t want his name used said that a mussel bed offshore may have been disturbed by a clamming boat, and then washed ashore.
Old-timers say it’ll take two or three weeks for the smell to subside
