Does Howard Stern have coattails?
Gary Dell’Abate, the longtime sidekick of the “King of All Media,” stumped Tuesday afternoon in Greenwich for incumbent Selectman Drew Marzullo.
Known to legions of radio listeners as Baba Booey, Dell’Abate is a member of the local parks board in staid-old Greenwich. He’s been a loyal supporter of Marzullo, a Democrat in his second term and paramedic in town.
If history is an indicator, the popular Marzullo needs to out-poll his running mate, Democratic first selectman candidate Beth Krumeich to return to the Board of Selectmen. The three seats on the board are filled by the winners of the first selectman and selectman’s races in GOP-leaning Greenwich, with the next highest vote-getter of the two runners-up making the cut.
