I am honored to have the support of such amazing individuals,” said Debicella.  “These leaders have served their respective towns well and I thank them for their endorsement.  I look forward to having them on my team.”

Over 40 leaders from throughout the Fourth Congressional District have endorsed Debicella.  “We are proud to stand with amazing Republican leaders from Oxford to Greenwich, and virtually every community in between,” said Debicella.  Debicella added he expected more endorsements in coming weeks from state legislators and Republican Town Committee leaders.

Debicella was the 2010 Republican nominee for Congress, which was the closest federal race in Connecticut that year—ultimately decided by a swing of 7,000 votes out of 220,000 cast.  The highly competitive race made CNN’s Top 100 Most Competitive Races list, Politico’s Daily 10 (a tracker of the closest House Races), and Real Clear Politics’ list of “toss up” races.

Dan Debicella grew up in Bridgeport and Shelton. His father, Cal, was a policeman in Bridgeport and his Mom, Maggie, is a secretary in the federal judicial system. The first person in his family to go to college, Dan spent most of his career in business. He served in the Connecticut State Senate from 2006-2010, representing the residents of Eastern Fairfield County.

“I am running to change the mess that is Washington DC,” said Debicella, “and I hope to bring the same practical problem-solving to Washington DC that the local leaders who are endorsing my candidacy have shown.”  For more information on Dan’s views and positions, people can visit www.debicella.com.”
