Separated at birth?

No, Jerry Labriola Jr. isn’t moonlighting teaching the Xs and Os of zone defense to Shabazz Napier.

And last time we checked, he’s on a different kind of recruiting trail — for candidates and campaign cash.

But if one casually glanced at the UConn bench Wednesday night during the Huskies victory over Harvard on ESPNU, visions of Connecticut’s Republican Party chairman manifested themselves.

Labriola hasn’t quit his day job. Turns out his doppelganger is associate head coach Glen Miller, who has been with the Huskies for 11 years and previously coached at Connecticut College, Brown and the University of Pennsylvania.

There is some coaching in Labriola’s blood, as he tells Hearst he coached girls soccer in Ansonia.
