This race is between Foley and Lauretti (Shelton Mayor) for the nomination. McKinney has no chance because of his support for the gun law. He is finished. He would have had a better chance running as a democrat in a primary against Malloy. The other guys are just noise and in the way. Lauretti has done a great job for Shelton and voters have to get to know him. They have low taxes and business flooding into the town.

Malloy is doing everything he can to pander to teachers with his phony waiver of taxes on their pensions, the working poor with his push for a higher minimum wage which does nothing for the economy and his ridiculous $55 tax rebate. Please!! How this guy has even 30% support is ridiculous.

Molloy does whats best for the state? Driving gun companies, who buy the way pay a nice amount of taxes and employ people who spend $$, drive them out of state a good thing? Consider and individual making $200,000 middle income a good thing? Allow min wage to go up which will lead to higher cost to consumers and possibly more unemployment a good thing? lets take a step back and look at all this. My vote is for Mr. Foley

  3. Ed Cates says:

Foley is a corrupt businessman and John McKinney is a Richie Rich phony who is against any minimum wage for the poor. They both stink

I don’t believe a word of this GARBAGE. The Bloomberg post would love nothing more than for Malloy to get re elected McKinney too for that matter.. News Flash… It AIN’T GONNA HAPPEN!

  5. Marisa Ringel says:

John McKinney just needs to get around the state more introducing himself to the people that don’t know him yet. When that gets done the gap will be closed. He is a leader who is standing by the people of this state over establishments that have used power to serve their own wallets. Maybe he’ll even put the Genius of Connecticut, the statue that used to sit on top of our capitol building back up on the top of the dome of the building where it belongs instead of letting it fester in the lobby of the capitol. Raise the Genius! It will be a good symbol to raise the inventive mindset of this state to help boost the economy. Whoever is for raising the genius will have my vote, and if no one is going to take on that task than my vote stays with McKinney.
