UNCASVILLE — Gubernatorial hopeful John McKinney, the state Senate minority leader from Fairfield, just joined forces with David Walker of Bridgeport to form a team that would presumably gather some momentum against Tom Foley in a primary battle. “This isn’t politics as usual,” McKinney just told reporters. “This is two people with the strength and skill to get our fiscal house in order to turn Connecticut around. We’re going to be straight, we’re going to honest with the people of the straight of Connecticut. We’re going to talk about the real fiscal challenges, our solutions. We’re going to run a positive campaign. And I’m proud to say today that John McKinney and Dave Walker are going to be the next governor and lieutenant governor of the state of Connecticut.”

Walker: “I’m pleased and honored to be with Sen. McKinney…The bottom line is that it’s time for a turnaround in Connecticut. We’ve gone from a leader to last place in the last 25 years. It’s an outrage.”
