Tom Foley TV ad$ will go up on the air starting Monday on all four major broadcast stations.

On Wednesday, Greenwich millionaire Tom Foley finally got his $1.4 million grant from the Citizens Election Fund. But the day before – July 1 – his campaign inked more than $50,000 in TV ads that will begin airing July 7. His latest campaign finance filing from back in April said that he had already spent about $220,000 setting up a campaign office, hiring staff and such. The next quarter’s filing is due July 10, as Foley’s primary campaign against Senate Minority Leader John McKinney of Fairfield trundles toward its August 12 denouement.

WTNH News 8 of New Haven was paid $18,657 for 48 30-second spots starting Monday, according to the station’s public filings. Channel 3, based in Rocky Hill, was paid $10,697 for 28 ads. Fox 61 received $7,161.25 for 30 ads of 30 seconds each. The deals for NBC 30 include 46 spots totaling $17,935.
