There’s a hashtag heaven for lefty bloggers — and Chris Murphy is standing at the pearly gates.

Connecticut’s junior U.S. senator is flocking to Detroit for Netroots Nation, a four-day summit for progressives from the online community that gets underway Thursday night.

Murphy, 40, elected to the Senate in 2012 after three terms in the House, is expected to be part of a lineup of speakers headlined by Vice President Joe Biden and Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren.

The National Journal ranked Murphy, who has been at the forefront of a push for gun control reform since the Sandy Hook Elementary school shooting, the most liberal member of the Senate earlier this year.

The opening night festivities at Netroots Nation include a karaoke party sponsored by Planned Parenthood Action Fund and Planned Parenthood Advocates of Michigan.

No word if Murphy will be live Tweeting lyrics with Google Glass.
