McKinney calls Foley to concede

At 9:20 McKinney called Foley from his Post Road headquarters in Fairfield and promised his total support in the fight against Gov. Dannel P. Malloy.
“You guys have 100 percent of my time and effort,” he said.
McKinney spoke to about 100 supporters in a nearby restaurant about 20 minutes later.
“The goal was to elect a new governor,” he said. “The goal was to make Dan Malloy a one-term governor and get a fiscally responsible governor. At the end of the day, Tom Foley ran a better race. Tom Foley is our candidate for governor.”
