McKinney challenges Foley, Malloy to ALS “ice bucket challenge”

John Mckinney takes ice bucket challenge

Moments after conceding defeat in the GOP primary to Greenwich businessman Tom Foley, John McKinney took the “ice bucket challenge” to raise awareness of Lou Gehrig’s Disease, or ALS.

In case you haven’t heard, participants in the challenge pour buckets of ice water over their heads, then challenge their friends to do the same via social media. The stunt’s viral spread has netted at least $1 million for the ALS Association in the last few days alone.

Just before submitting to the cold bath, McKinney challenged Foley, Governor Dan Malloy, and several other political figures to take the challenge in the next 24 hours.
