Tom Foley is going to the mat against Dan Malloy.
But will this constituency, one that seemingly doesn’t bat an eyelash over dropping a C-Note on a pair of yoga pants, get all bent out of shape over the 6.35 percent sales tax that Connecticut charges for yoga classes and memberships?
In a Tweet to his followers, the Republican gubernatorial challenger assailed Democratic incumbent for the tax climate in Connecticut, singling-out levies certain goods and services, including yoga.

From 2006 to 2011, Malloy’s first year in office, Connecticut exempted yoga instruction from the sales tax. That exemption was repealed as part of Malloy’s fiscal plan for the state, which has been relentlessly criticized by Foley.
And now, we have the politics of yoga. Namaste.
